Hey everyone! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. My name is Destiny Mickell and this blog is a space where I chat about navigating life with Christ, but with a twist. Here, you won't find a one-size-fits-all approach to faith.

Let me rewind a bit. When I rededicated my life to Christ, I had this image in my head of what a "good Christian" should be like. Turns out, that image was way off! I felt like I had to fit into a certain mold, and that just stifled who I truly am.

So, I started this blog to show that faith can be vibrant, messy, and totally unique to each person. Whether you're just starting your faith journey, questioning everything, or somewhere in between, you're welcome here.

This space is for believers, non-believers, and anyone curious about what it means to have a relationship with Christ in the 21st century.

 

Think of it as grabbing coffee (or maybe a glass of wine?) with a friend who loves Jesus, art, trying new things (and sometimes failing!), and talking about life's big (and sometimes small) questions.

Here's a peek into who I am beyond the faith:

• I'm a total word nerd (makes sense I started a blog) – I write spoken word poetry and devour books like they're going out of style. I love writing and just have a passion for words as a form of art and expression- from literature to rap. I totally geek out on tv shows like tha vampire diaries, the flash, and Gossip girl 

• When I'm not glued to a page, you can find me on the tennis court (working on my backhand!), or exploring new restaurants (because Ill always be a foodie).

• Oh, and I'm on a quest to become a wine connoisseur (baby steps!).I like to learn all about the wine making process, the history, but I am not a wine snob!
